Patker 2022-2023

‘Patker’ School of Documentary Photography was launched in 2022 by 4Plus with an aim to educate a new generation of documentary photographers and create professional opportunities for them. The course is designed for emerging and professional photographers. The course covers theoretical and practical aspects of photography focusing on the development of students’ photographic vision. The course was designed and developed by 4Plus photographers Nazik Armenakyan, Piruza Khalapyan and Vaghinak Ghazaryan acting as the lead mentors. The name ‘Patker’ is a tribute to photojournalist and documentarian Ruben Mangasaryan who created a homonymous photo agency in 1996 and briefly run a photography course at the Caucasus Media Institute organized by World Press Photo from 2004 to 2006.  Graduation projects of ‘Patker’ alumni 2022-2023 are presented below.
